November 18, 2016 at 3:25 pm #13662Sorry for my oh so late reply, I think it will be unnecessary by now but I feel like replying anyway.
Yes, if you have the money I think it’s worth it by far because the end result will be more realistic, especially the tires. What did you buy in the end?

Robert C Ray Jr@3thebassmanVery good close-up photography had been done for this build. Something like this takes a tremendous amount of patience and discipline.
June 13, 2017 at 1:50 pm #13782Thanks @3thebassman! Hope those pictures will be of use to you. Let me know if you have any questions

Roel M Roque@rollingrockHi Boris. Excellent work!
I am in the midst of building the HobbyBoss M1070 with the M1000 trailer. I am stuck on getting the ducting hooked on the connectors. And there’s a lot on this model (more than 4 meters).
May I know how you did your ducting on this model? Thanks very much.
March 16, 2019 at 3:15 pm #15719Hi @rollingrock!
Very sorry for my late reply, are you still stuck on this question?I used superglue and bought myself some very small diameter ducting on a Dutch online store. I did not use the original ducting since I did not like it, long time ago but I think I found it to stiff to work with.
Does that help you?
Do you have any pictures of your work< very curious (-:

Roel M Roque@rollingrockThanks for the reply Boris. I have put the M1070+M1000 quite aside though to give way to a couple of Russian AFV projects. I think I have found a solution though, using 0.7mm heat shrink tubes to hook the ducting onto the ports. I just have to be careful though that I don’t heat up the part too much as it would easily melt.
Got bits and pieces still in sub assemblies. 😉
Thanks Boris.
March 19, 2019 at 8:09 am #15726Hi @rollingrock
Happy to assist in any way!
Good luck with your Russian AFV projects, if you feel like showing them of here, let me know. -
